I use disposable razors but wonder if there is one you'd recommend?

Response from Carl: I've tried numerous brands of disposable razor to shave my head and currently use the Gillette Custom Plus disposable brand but I also tend to see what's on sale to be honest! I avoid the really cheap brands as I find that they cut me a lot more frequently.

For the most part, I find that this Gillette brand is good and I've also had good success with the disposable cartridge-type razors and in particular with the Gillette Sensor Excel brand in the past.

One key with disposable razors - and I'm often guilty of this myself - is not overusing the razor until it becomes blunt. It's hard to tell exactly how many times you should use a disposable razor before replacing it as this will depend on the brand and your usage but you can often tell once the shave isn't quite as good as it was when the razor was new.

Using a razor beyond its useful life can cause cuts (if you compensate for the bluntness by pressing the razor harder on your skin) and might cause razor bumps on your skin too. It's best to replace disposable razors frequently and not to overuse them.
