Male Hair Loss
Male hair loss is certainly a common and fairly well-known issue that many men face during their lives especially as they age.
Hair loss occurs because of heredity and is passed onto you through genetics from your parents.
Male hair loss occurs when male hormones cause the hair follicles to shrink, making it more difficult for the follicles to continue to replace lost hairs.
The result is that hair naturally falls out – as it does for all humans – but in this case is not replaced leading to baldness.
You may have heard the term is male pattern baldness and it simply refers to the fact that baldness for men tends to follow a pattern:
First, the hairline recedes from the front, slowly moving backwards exposing the forehead area.
Then the hair on the crown (the top of the head) starts to thin out.
Eventually the hair that remains forms a ring around the back of the head with the top and sides being left bald. There might still be small amounts of hair growing on top and on the sides but it's often very fine and not enough to noticeably cover your head.
